Telendos

TELENDOS -

This little island belongs to the Province of Kalymnos and is situated right opposite the tourist area of Massouri and Myrties. There is a channel, which separates the two islands, and the distance between them is only 700 meters. There are small boats connecting Telendos with Kalymnos. The two islands were united till 555 A.C. when a terrible earthquake separated them. Telendos has just a few inhabitants, mainly fishermen and many churches. There are two small but very nice beaches on the Southeast part of the island. There are several beaches on the beautiful and quiet island Telendos. On Telendos you go left and follow the signs with text “Chohlakas Beach”. It is a 15 minutes walk first between the houses then a path up and when you are on the top first enjoy the view. Then it is down untill you are at the beach. The second beach is when you arrive on Telendos you go right and after a 10/15 minutes walk you will find several small beaches. The last one you can go nude sunbathing. If you like to walk, go for a walk on Telendos and you will find more beautiful small beaches. Nude beach Although it is not officialy allowed people use Paradise beach to get nude. It is easy to find. When you arrive on the island with one of the small boats you take the road to the right until the nude beach.
